We had a wonderful overnight stay at the Bridge Motel. The managers were very welcoming and helpful with directions around the area. We found the room very well presented and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and just what we needed after a big day of travelling and then returning after A Day on the Green. Comfort. Elegance. Luxury. These three words best describe this highly curated King Valley property. Staying here for two nights of relaxation and rejuvenation after four weeks of road travel around Tasmania and Victoria is worth every dollar, and is a perfect self-care indulgence. This motel in the beautiful regional town of Beechworth is outstanding. We were in the area for a wedding in Bright, a 45 minute drive away, the following day. Now that we know the quality of this motel we hope to return for an extended stay to explore the area more thoroughly. We had a very enjoyable at stay Merrimeet Cottages recently. As a couple our cottage suited our purposes perfectly. The property is only a short walk from the town centre and located in a very quit street which backs on to Ovens river, which is great for quick swim in the good weather. Even though the temperatures were in the high 30's, we only need to turn on the air con once for a short while as the cottage stayed very cool.
