"Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont Empress. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, but the carpeting—both inside the rooms and throughout the hallways—feels a bit worn and could use refreshing. The service, however, is consistently excellent, with staff who are warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. One thing I did notice was that the pool area floor tended to be a bit dirty each day, which took away from the otherwise great amenities. The in room dining is great as well. In short: beautiful hotel, great service, but a few areas could use some updating and more frequent upkeep."
