The staff and service maids were so lovely and kind.
The pillows were too big for my liking, I like a thinner pillow (no major though). There were a few stains on the duvet and it just had a sheet overtop.
The room is a good size, especially having a couch, deck etc. Bathroom is very small but is perfect.
You can borrow towels from reception to take to the beach which is great.

We recently stayed for three nights in a refurbished Horizon Room at the Shangri-La Sydney and were thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Reception needs to tell customers that the fee shuttle to the terminals is approx 750mts to 850mts away not just two minutes walk. I am disabled and had trouble making it to the bus stop in one go. I am also suffering from Low Vision
and nearly fell a couple of times due to other people pushing in front of me. If correct info was given I would have caught a taxi.

I have to say we have travelled to many places over the years and this is the nicest hotel room we have ever had.
It appeared to have everything you could need and comfort as well. The staff were lovely, shout out to Kevin who assisted me with a payment issue. This Hotel Is attached to the Star, with light rail underneath and is also only a short walk to Pyrmont Bay ferry. I definitely intend to stay here again :)
