"The indoor and outdoor pools are both unheated. During the colder months they are not usable. The rooms were clean however they only were cleaned once on our 3 night stay. Room service was very slow and we ran out of toilet paper one day."

"This is a lovely hotel - but it could be so much more. There is evident history here but it is sorely in need of updating and redecorating. Great staff, priceless views, a very good kitchen and a welcoming lounge - all good. This is a hundred year old building so the rooms are compact at best. Would I book to stay there again - yes I would."

"Our stay was pleasant; the house was clean and orderly and had a nice old-style vibe with the furniture and decorations. The only thing that marred the experience was a faulty fridge that the property owner was very responsive about and they organised for a replacement fridge while we were still there. There was a second smaller fridge available as well, so we were able to keep some of the more sensitive foodstuffs in that while the new fridge was being organised."

"It was definitely a clean room, was disappointed with general condition of the outside of the hotel being rather run-down and sad, it definitely was in need of some TLC. Also not a good look to stack laundry bags near the outside wall of our room (at least a dozen). Shower wasn't great due to water pressure, either scorching hot or freezing cold. As I said was very clean and tidy inside and comfortable. "
