The Lodge exceeded our expectation. The individual lodges were very well appointed and tucked away in the forest. When we arrived the staff were very helpful, as they were throughout our four day stay. The meals were varied and imaginative ... well done chef! Diwan is centrally located in the Daintree so the Lodge is a good spot from which to explore. We loved it.

The Sea Temple is a lovely hotel with a great relaxing atmosphere, well looked after facilities, modern rooms (not to forget the incredible spa bath) and fantastic food! I extended my stay twice as I couldn't have enough of this hotel! The location was great, only a short drive to the main stretch of port douglous.
I would rate this hotel 10/10 with the only negative being the service delivered by room service. Twice parts of our order was missing although this wasn't a problem, the room...

You know how you're often disappointed after arriving at a venue that you've booked online? This is NOT one of those venues! What a spectacular location. Shantara Resort was everything we'd hoped for and more. Fantastic facilities, very clean and well cared for. All staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Handy to the centre of town, marina and beach - we had a car but didn't need it at all. Extra bonus of being a child free venue - very peaceful! We had an amazing time and will...

The Motel was really clean with recently updated modern rooms. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming and the room was great value for money.

This place is fantastic if you love being close to nature and enjoy the sounds of wildlife while you are going to sleep and as soon as you wake. It's a perfect location for walking in Daintree and the staff and food are amazing. The night walk is great and allows you to see lots of wildlife that you wouldn't see if you were out on your own. There is lots of amphibian, reptile and invertebrate life living in the overhead canopy that leads you to your room so have a look at night with a...

Excellent position right in town. Restaurants, pubs, supermarket, and the beach are all within a 5 minute walking distance radius. The managers were excellent, giving us advice on where to eat, as well as lending us some toys to keep our 18 month year old happy!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom deluxe villa and our villa was absolutely perfect. Very clean and comfortable with all facilities for self catering. Laundry fully equipped, bed very comfortable,. Reception staff very knowledgeable and could not do enough to assist in booking tours and advising on good restaurants. Able to walk to adjacent golf course which resort backs onto. Pools were clean, lounges around pool area for relaxing and bbq facilities available also.We stayed for 5 nights and will be...

My husband & I stayed for our honeymoon. We enjoyed our stay. Room was spacious (D250) Inroom appliances were great. It was nice to have a washer/dryer, dishwasher & double door fridge. The hotel wasn't to noisey. The feel and look of the resort was very relaxing. From first impression coming into the reception area I felt I was in Fiji. We wanted something that was tropical but without going over the top and the Ramada deliverd. Breakfast buffet was great. We had dinner in town every night &...

The best area to stay in Bamboo is the beachfront strip along Coral Esplanade, offering direct access to the ocean and a range of amenities.
This area is the heart of Bamboo's visitor experience. Coral Esplanade runs parallel to the main beach, lined with resorts, restaurants, and shops. It's very walkable, with the Bamboo Pier at one end providing a popular spot for fishing and sunset views. The entire stretch is designed for convenience, putting everything you need within easy reach.
Couples often find this area superb for a romantic getaway. The resorts here frequently offer rooms with ocean views and direct beach access, allowing for relaxing days by the water and evenings enjoying beachfront dining. The convenience of having fine dining and entertainment options just a stroll away makes it ideal for a carefree holiday.
For families, staying along Coral Esplanade also makes a lot of sense. Many accommodations feature family-friendly pools and easy access to the calm waters of the beach, which is suitable for children.
When is the best time to go to Bamboo?
The best time to visit Bamboo is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.
During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny days with comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C. This period is ideal for enjoying all the outdoor activities Bamboo has to offer, from exploring the Daintree Rainforest to relaxing on the beaches. The lower humidity also makes for a more pleasant experience overall.
The wet season, from November to April, brings higher humidity, frequent rainfall, and the risk of tropical cyclones. While the landscape is particularly lush during this time, some tours and activities may be affected by the weather, and marine stingers are more prevalent in the ocean, requiring stinger suits for swimming.
