Not 2 Bedrooms; poorly maintained; very disappointing
At first we were excited about the older traditional style of this apartment.
BUT:
Falsely listed as 2 BR. It is 1 BR & a room with a foldout bed.
There were three BIG problem areas:
1. Owner
This is a classic case of an owner listing their home without understanding the rental business.
You need to clear out enough space for renters items. Also need to clear out old bug-infested food which has been sitting there for years. Bugs have taken over the cabinets.
Grease on the back of the stove that has trapped some bugs.
The furniture looks nice but is worn out. Kitchen had sticky spots; stove knobs worn out.
It should be listed as 1 bedroom, sleeps 4. We would not have considered it.
The sleeper sofa mattress was old; could feel every spring. Had to sleep on old sofa.
This 2nd room has no place to put items. The owner did not even bother
to clear out shelves to use for clothing etc. Very little space left once bed is folded out. Used desk and chairs to drape clothing over.
2. Property Manager
TV remote missing; prop mgr knew this for a week prior and did not replace.
TV in picture of BR was not there - false advertising. Prop Mgr denied any problem with listing.
The bathroom sink drained slowly; no way to hang shower head above.
3. VRBO
We contacted VRBO support with difficulty. Hotel options were far from us. We had to stay a second night. We contacted the exec. office to get better response. They did allow extra $ for a new rental
