The position of the hotel was excellent

Spectacular views of the Acropolis from restaurant & pool. Charming front desk staff. Good fresh food and lots of choice for breakfast in the rooftop restaurant with The View. Conveniently located in the heart of Plaka.

Athens Gate Hotel was one of my favorite hotel stays abroad, or anywhere in the world for the that matter. The staff was intently genuine and caring, as Thanos greeted my at the my taxi to take my bags, and Amalia was absolutely wonderful at the front desk. Both of them offered my various options when checking in early, while also giving my a list of things to do during my stay in the city. This included where to get a Greek SIM card, and hot spots for eating and drinking. The location of the hotel could not be more prime when wanting to knock out Athens' biggest tourist attraction, The Acropolis. It was three minute walk to the ticket booth, and was conveniently close to multiple restaurants and cafes. It was also a 5 - 10 minute walk from a very lively shopping main drag, and only about 15 minutes from a popular bar district. The hotel was extremely clean, and featured a rooftop restaurant with a marvelous view of The Acropolis. The chef made some wonderful Greek dishes that had modern twist, especially the Deconstructed Spanakopita Salad! I will absolutely stay here every time I come to Athens, and will hopefully receive help from Thanos and Amalia again. They should both get raises or promotions! :)

The pool area and the rooftop is great, also the food at the rooftop restaurant. The regular room is small. The breakfasts are bad, its like its out just because they must serve b.b and they don’t care about the taste and the total Looking of the buffet… We had to wait 2 days for getting a key for the room because of a problem at the hotel system… At the total its a nice and good hotel that if will try to be better, it will be better for him
