Nice and clean, friendly staffs. lots of fan on the ceiling so not feeling hot atm. AC working well. Nice ocean views from room and living room. peaceful stayed.

I’m not used to sleep in a dorm so I choose a girls only dorm. We were 4 (out of 6 beds available). The 3 bottoms beds were taken so I took a top bed. I had no plug next to my bed I had to plug my phone on the plug next to my roommate face (bottom bed) which is zero privacy if I need to unplug it I literally need to lay on her face.. Lucky I had a 1,5m cable tho.. no light either next to each bed.. oh and also absolutely no room to stock my food in the kitchen, every closet were taken and when I asked one “resident” where I could put my food he said “find a place”. Not really friendly.. The hostel was quite and most of people were friendly even if I spent Friday and Saturday night There it was not too noisy. Nathan at the reception was great and very friendly ! Would recommend for people who like dorms.. which is not my stuff but that’s personal..

CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE

I liked the location, just a couple of hundred metres to everything downtown, but back enough to be quiet at night. There are only three carparks inside, so be quick!

YHA always trustworthy standard
Good clean hostel centrally located for a night stop before cruise. Double rooms only share bathroom with one other room so almost en-suite for excellent price. Pool warmth a bonus!

We arrived late and luckily caught the manager who let us in with no problem - such a good bloke! There were only three car parks at the place which wasn’t ideal but eventually found one of them to park in. A good stay overall.

Amazing location, easy process. Got a coupon for $10 meal at beaches which was great! Bed squeaked everytime you moved. Would stay here if I needed again. You get what you pay for.

Average accommodation
Pretty average experience here. Good location, but not particularly lively. A lot of WHV guests. Pool had some debris and wasn’t particularly inviting. Balconies on each room was a nice feature. I would consider investigating other options if I came to Airlie Beach again, but this was acceptable accommodation. It didn’t exceed any expectations for a hostel.

No parking and tv reception was non existent floors could do with a mop but on the up side was in a great position surrounded by reastarants take aways and bars etc. with beach just a stroll away

The location was great but the place was meh. The hall and bathroom smelled quite musty, and the wifi was terrible. The room itself was fine with a comfy enough bed and a small terrace which was nice. The staff was very friendly as well.

One of the best hostels
I've given this a really high raring because for a hostel its really good value and has a good atmosphere but if you like nice hotels do remember its a hostel!

The room needs an update. Smelled stale on arrival but aircon cleared the air. Close to everything but had to park in Woolworths overfill carpark overnight as there are only 4 onsite parking spaces.

Very close to the Main Street but ....
We stayed a double bed room for two nights . the room is just a bed . That's it , one aircon (it's works) without remote control. no bed side table. Very hard mattress and no extra duvet. Kitchen closes at 10:30pm it's quite early. The most of big problem was out room is just right next to 4bed borm. They shouldn't located the dorm and double bed room next to each other . Very unhappy about that noise and slamming doors

You have to pay for everything.
I stayed 2 nights and had a 2 nightso whitsunday trip in between. I had to pay 10 dollars to put my luggage in the luggage room. I heard someone else saying that they needed to pay 5 dollars for using the shower if you want to have a shower after check out. The matras in one of the dorms was weird, the spirals were not the same at the left and right side.

Nice, cozy hostel
YHA in Airlie beach is pretty nice. 6 beds dorm room has its own bathroom and it is very comfortable. Hostel is in walking distance from everything. You will get discount coupons for bottle shop, which is just over the street.

Nice stay It's annoying that they close reception until 2pm espically when you get off a night bus really early it would be nice to check in abit earlier Air con was good in the rooms This hostel is more expensive than others around yet you still have to make your own bed????
