"The room was ideal, clean and facilities great. The breakfast we had was a buffet style and was excellent,the area was well stocked. Afternoon and evening food was also of good quality as was the bar selection. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and dealt with any help we required. I would definetly stay in this Hotel again. Made for a brilliant weekend ."

"We loved our stay at High Bield. We love the house. We felt it wasn't as clean as the last time we stayed but this didnt spoil our enjoyment. Our dog Nell loved the garden. She would go and find sticks to chew. The two young boys enjoyed exploring the garden as well and loved seeing the frog sporn in the pond. The best part is the views in the morning-wow. We hope to be back next year "

"Just two nights at this perfectly located hotel with mature lovely gardens and country house features. Very convenient for Ullswater lake and walks. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We could not fault the reception, bar and dinning room team, they were great. The room we had was spacious and clean, with decoration and furniture in keeping with an old country house. The breakfasts and evening dinners were well presented and of high quality. Although we are retired, we could see the hotel as an excellent wedding venue. Overall, great value and we appreciated the unique and wonderful setting. "

"Amazing cottage with the most spectacular views. The property itself was very well stocked with everything you may need for a relaxing stay; kitchen is perfect with plenty of crockery, pots and pans etc. The bedroom is so relaxing... had the best nights' sleep in the super comfy bed; and the lounge area too... very comfortable, warm and cosy with the most amazing views. We loved our stay at this cottage and did some wonderful walks locally. I can recommend the farm shop up the road... very tasty local produce; meat, cakes and lovely gifts too. All in all, this was a perfectly relaxing 3 day break, and we will definitely return. "
