"Had a great stay, all staff most helpful and courteous, bed very comfortable with good choice of pillows, food excellent, both dinner and breakfast. Only negative point was there was no room care during our two night stay, I presume just an oversight but it certainly didn’t detract from our stay. Looking forward to staying again. "

"The room and property are absolutely beautiful and the location is great. The staff are friendly and polite but there's not much in the way of service. I would definitely come back though when I return to Edinburgh "

"We stayed at the hotel for three nights and had breakfast there each morning. The price for the stay was very good compared to Edinburgh prices. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean, and it’s a great base for trips to Edinburgh because you can get there by Ember bus for just £4 (December 2025). I definitely recommend it and would stay again if I have the chance."
"I've been working away on a weekly basis frequently this year and can say without any doubt that this has been the nicest place so far.
Spotless room and ensuite, tea, coffee and biscuits etc spot on and the location was really nice.
Hopefully my work books me in again. 👌"

"Staff were very helpful on reception.
Had quite a wait to be served at the bar as seemed to be short staffed with only one member in attendance.
Room was excellent, clean and welcoming. "
