"This hotel is in the middle of the city and is conveniently located to everything. 15min walk to Sydney Harbour and 5min walk to Darling Harbour. Room size was decent. The bed was so comfy and the room was clean. If I had to complain about anything (which is out of the hotel’s control) is the loud cars driving by. Definitely a great stay with friendly staff. "

"Hotel dates from 1972 and has that grand feel about it with touches like the staircase railings and lift entrances. Although some updating has taken place, the carpets looked pretty new and clean some of the decor in the corridors was a bit 'tired'. My room was very clean with a kettle and coffee making facilities although the addition of a microwave would have been useful. "Very centralized downtown Sydney. Walking distance to a lot of attractions as well as public transportation options are great nearby. It is great to have somewhere to put your stuff away and to sleep. Excellent place to stay for single travelers as well as for those traveling with friends. There is a bar downstairs too "

"I was put at the front of the hotel and had a room overlooking the main street which had road works that woke me in the early hours and made sleep not easy. The hotel entry security is not up to standard. Anyone off the street can walk into the lift and go up to any floor of the hotel. There is no card-reader security tag in the lift past the first floor reception. Entry should be blocke to any floor unless the card is used to move the lift to your floor. "VIEW Hotel needs to go back to the individual toiletries in the rooms. The pump bottles on the wall are awful and too much like a backpacker hostel. Only a small thing, but it matters"
