“Great location!”
Such an easy location, central to verything, great facilities, no problems with anything that I needed
“Great Location”
Good service, clean room, great location
“Impressed”
Lovely hotel + roo (deluxa). Central location. 8/10 overall.
“The Grace Hotel - a great place to stay”
- our hotel room was comfortable, up to date, spacious, and clean - a convenient walking distance to Circular Quay and Darling Harbor
“A quiet oasis in the midst of Sydney”
Great value, easy to find within walking distance of Daling Harbour & shopping precinct. Staff were top notch even arranging a late checkout as we participated in the City 2 Surf. Lovely quiet room overlooking the rooftop meant that we didn't hear any traffic from outside, this is what we will request any time we stay there. Husband made use of the pool & spa & commented on the cleanliness of the facilities. Finally we have found somewhere in the Sydney that we would return to again.
“Art Deco charm but 21st century comfort”
I'd been meaning to stay here for a while - and I'm glad I finally did! I like a place with a bit of history (and The Grace has it in spades). Built as a marvellous dream that was ruined by the Depression, then doing its bit for WWII and housing the US forces while they were in Sydney - and now a very comfy centrally located hotel. My room was extremely roomy which was nice. It was a bit dark due to fact it faced the central atrium, but I was willing to overlook that. All the staff were friendly, attentive and thoughtful. And everything is in walking distance. I like a good walk in the mornings, so I took in the Botanical Gardens day 1, and then Dawes Point (beneath the Bridge) on day 2. Looking forward to my next stay!
“OK only for business travellers”
We booked to stay at The Grace Hotel based on the reviews we had read and it's star rating. We wanted somewhere special for our 20th anniversary. We were very disappointed. Despite booking a deluxe room, the room was average, the bed had hills and valleys and the service at the desks varied from helpful to outright awful. We did complain and we were offered another room. Not much better but at least the bed was even. Generally OK but not for travellers. Pity because the position is great. Probably fine if you are there for business. And the internet access is not free!!!
“Grace”
Great location, hotel, service.
“Good location, old hotel”
This place is a bit dated. Rooms are small and decently maintained, but it's not a place I'd call comfortable or trendy. Check-in was fine; location was good, but the 4 star rating was a bit misleading and overrated. 3 stars at best. Walking distance to the Opera House - and only two blocks to the train station to the airport.
“Always will stay here when visiting the centre of Sydney”
Really old world charm and decor with the best of modern facilities in the rooms - our bed was very comfortable. I liked the wide corridors, unlike modern hoterls with their narrow 'tunnels'. The ol' lady has a lot of class!
