Wood Valley Yoga Holidays

I recently stayed at the Royal Kona Resort in Kona, Hawaii. The location and amenities definitely deserve a 5-star rating. The oceanfront views are absolutely beautiful, the saltwater lagoon and pool area are great, and the property has that classic Hawaiian resort feel. Being able to walk right into town for restaurants and shops is also a huge plus. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and service did not match the amazing setting. Our room and some of the common areas didn’t seem as clean or well maintained as expected, which took away from the experience. In addition, several interactions with staff felt unfriendly and unwelcoming. Overall, the Royal Kona has incredible potential because of its location and amenities, but improvements in housekeeping and customer service would make a big difference in the overall guest experience.

The whole experience at Mauna Lani was top-notch. Food is terrific (especially Canoe House; fabulous meal and service!), hospitality was warm and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable with an incredible view, the golf courses and pools and beach amenities were five-star, and the overall vibe was relaxing and posh without being pretentious. Excited to return…hopefully soon!

What a wonderful place to vacation! Clean property! Beautifully maintained gated community!

Loved everything about our stay

Very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, pots & pans. Even had beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards and a wagon to haul. Whole family (including 2 teens) loved. Would stay here again!
