Hotel is fine. Beds comfortable. Booked on Expedia and prepaid. The hotel double charged me even though it was prepaid. There is a $45 amenity fee which does give you credit to use for food/bev and laundry. It must be used before you check out. At registration we asked if we were able to use it for breakfast. He stated it was to be used the night we checked in, but we could still order breakfast from Room service just not the restaurant and use the credit. We double checked it with him. He assured us we could use it for the room service breakfast. Upon checkout we were told to read the card better that we could not use it before checkout in the morning for the room service that it has to be used the night we checked in. I asked them to discuss with the person who checked us in but they would not. I asked to speak to a manager who conveniently was not there at 8 am in the morning. I asked for a call from the manager and nothing. It is not really the $20, it is the principle of the matter after double and triple checking with their staff. I am a corporate traveler who owns a large company and travel all over the world and have never run into anything so poorly run. It is a shame.

The property was clean, no issues there. Did not like being charged an additional $105 for checking in due to property taxes or something along the line. When you get a package for flight and stay that’s supposed to be the total price but not with this hotel. The shower drain was very slow and resulted in us showering in a puddle by our feet each shower. They do have lockers for you to leave your things should you need to have a place before your check in time which was much appreciated.

Great hotel! Very convenient location. Lovely happy hour wine in the lobby.

The bed in our room was sunken in on one side where it seems most people sleep. The lighting in the hotel was dim, probably for a vibe but it made it hard to see things. There’s no ice machine and after walking around the city, having ice for cold drinks would be nice. The staff was friendly and the place had a cool ambiance. It was close to the subway so getting around was easy. They do have a water station and two adjoining restaurants, which helped when we didn’t want to figure out where to do for food.

Good AC for the summer months Rooms on upper floors have great views although small . Don’t like the tacked on $33 resort fee ( for what ?). Location on 8th Ave can be sketchy at times. The included breakfast was fine but be prepared for huge crowds in the mornings-
