Daintree Crocodylus

"This place was brilliant. The staff were fantastic and always had time to chat and recommend great spots. Breakfast and dinner was always great with good portion sizes to keep you fed. We had an amazing visit to the rainforest and I would recommend the crocodylus to anyone who wants to stay IN the rainforest (and doesn’t mind the power being off at night). Also! If you have the opportunity to go on the night walk it really is a must do. Our guide Odin was unbelievably tuned in to everything going on, he spotted things we would’ve walked straight past and could tell us about all of it. We saw some incredible animals and plants and it was a highlight of the whole trip to NQ."

"This property is startlingly beautiful, with raised walkways winding through undisturbed rainforest. I don't see how one could ask for more in a wilderness lodge in the Daintree."

"Greg, the proprietor, is a great guy, welcomed us personally, showed us into our room, set us up with excellent Starlink WiFi first thing and prepared a beautiful, big breakfast for us the next morning with sweet papaya, melon, excellent coffee, and poached eggs on ham, cheese and avocado toast. The room was comfortable and clean, with TV, and a fridge. The property is beautiful, nestled in the rainforest with countless birds and green mountains behind. He pointed out his flowering jade plant with blossoms like I've never seen. Thank you Greg!"

"Stayed 3 nights in a twin room with king bed. Spacious, clean room with clean bathroom and good shower. Fantastic deck with rainforest views and a procession of wildlife. Room has a small fridge and tea-coffee making facilities but not much else for self-catering. On-site bar and restaurant available for breakfast (continental included), lunch and dinner. Meals were very good quality and quantity, continental breakfast was fruit, cereals and toast. Location is ideal for exploring the Daintree for a couple of days without having to use the ferry every day. Several rainforest walks available directly from the lodge with safe swimming holes in the nearby creek. No other restaurants or services within walking distance, there is a small store about 10 min drive away."

"Dean’s property is an absolutely amazing space, thank you for allowing us to stay there. My husband and I have not stayed anywhere like it. A diamond in the rough in an incredible location. The view is remarkable. We felt instant peace surrounded by the incredibly ancient trees. Almost as if we too were living up in the trees. Cannot recommend it enough. It really has everything you need to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of life."
Cape Tribulation Beach House

"Cape Trib beach house gives you the opportunity to have a secluded bit of rainforest and beach away from the busier parts of the Daintree. The restaurant is good, portions are large. You can sit on an idyllic beach with just a couple of others hearing and seeing the rainforest animals as waves lap upon the beach. We saw Cassowary at the property twice in our 3 day stay. You can’t go in the water, but that is true of all FNQ. This is not a luxury property but maybe a more authentic feel, the rooms have the basic necessities and are clean and comfortable. The property is well located for Daintree activities, we did both the horse riding and ziplining, both of which were excellent and can be organised by the staff."
Creekside cabin, pet friendly

"What an amazing place to stay!! I really can’t find the words to justify how wonderful this place was! The privacy, the security of the yard for our small dogs, the creek was just amazing, and everything we needed was supplied in the cottage. We will definitely be returning and sharing this with our friends (although not too many because then it’ll be booked out all the time and we won’t be able to come back and stay)."
