"It’s a lovely modern hotel. Our room was a good size by Tokyo standards. The bathroom was great. Comfortable beds. This was our first visit to Tokyo and I think we should have selected a different location than shinjuku, a livelier area than usual to our taste.. The only real criticism involves breakfast, which was tasty, however the wait for a table and subsequent service was extraordinarily long - 1/2 hour one morning, Also, one evening at dinner, my wife’s dinner order was switched at the last minute and replaced by a fish we’ve never heard of. All in all, it was good but perhaps not the best value."

"The fact that I stayed at the SUNROUTE twice on this trip should tell you it’s a very good hotel. Convenient to Shinjuku and great stop on limousine bus . Lots in the area including central shinjuku and shopping and train stations. Breakfast wide variety towards Japanese end. Prefer the double room vs economy single since more room to open luggage. Great lobby amenities. Will be back for sure !"

"Rooms were clean and naturally added an extra towel for us. Breakfast buffet was great! Yoshiko was amazing taking care of our orders and remembering our favorite drinks! Beds were comfy. Beautiful view of the city from my room. Nice live music at the bar at night. The singer & pianist were fantastic! I would stay here again."

"Very nice room for what we paid for. It was clean, had all the things we needed, nice bathroom, and staff were friendly. The breakfast was a bit expensive for us so we didn't get it. I heard mixed reviews on its contents with one patron telling us it was a great buffet because their family used it for their one meal every day. We are foodies so we went outside to eat each time."
