This hotel is very hot. The air conditioning is not working properly. The room smelled like a rotten sewer. I booked three nights got the biggest room. It was really uncomfortable to sleep due to it being too hot and the toilet smelled. I’ll never book at this hotel again.

Worse than our expectations
The photos are way much better than reality. The hotel is old and is not as good as it looks on the web. The hotel is neglected, it needs restoration to look like the photos.

Lovely room, but
The hotel is nice overall. The room was clean and very attractive. The only problem is the bedbug bites! It looked fabulous, but coming away with 6-7 bites was not nice. I don't know if I was unlucky or how widespread the problem was, but I believe I got the bites at this property. The hotel lobby was nice, but the hallways and restaurant were not as new or attractive. The dish I had for dinner and the free breakfast i had in the restaurant were both fine. The staff was helpful, check in and check out efficient. This is a little ways away from the very center of town, but still was a nice area. There was some very noisy music the one night I was there - not sure if it was from the hotel or a nearby property.

Good hotel.

This property has a really funky, colourful, modern and vintage vibe to it. It's deceptively fancy on the inside and the rooms are very cool and comfortable. Very happy with our room and it's better value for money than the other ones round town. 15 walk to the shopping centre too and there's always taxis outside if you need one. Will definitely book this one again next time we're back.

First room checked in to had ticks on pillows and started scratching body all over , second room had the same issue wifi is intermittent all the time not connecting always I left the hotel in 3 hrs in the middle of the night

Great boutique hotel in Vientiane
A lovely boutique hotel, just off the main street, and close to a good range of restaurants, markets, banks etc. Great swimming pool and gym on the top floor, along with the views. The included breakfast (buffet) was first rate, with a changing selection. The hotel staff coundn`t be more friendly and helpful. I would stay there again

Ood price hotel but dont expect a lot
We choose this hotel for our 2 day stay befire going to Singapore. We had pre-arranged a minivan pick up from the airport which they forgot to organize so we made our own arrangements 40 mins later. On arrival at ghe hotel the check in was slow and frequently interrupted by other people, phone calls etc and a half meant apology re the forgotten taxi pick up. When we got to the room we found they had put us in a standard room and not the balcony suite we had booked - so another trip to the front desk to be told they were all occupied and there was a possibility of one avaiilable on the second day in the afternoon. USD5 compensation was offered, so hours of wadyer discussions rnsued ruining our stay. Breakfast is very poor and slow supply of food to eat. - staff totally uninterested . Location is average and 6 min tuk tuk ride to the night market area.

Dear John, We would like to apologize for any inconvenience our mistake might have cause you. We’re really sorry that the service during your stay didn’t turn out as expected and we take full responsibility for the issue regarding the missed airport pick-up and the wrong room type. Firstly, we would like to apologize once again that we failed to arrange the airport pick-up as you have mentioned but we have also offered a free airport drop-off to make-up for our mistake. You have arrived at the hotel at peak hour and we apologize if the front desk was busy during that time. We apologize if our staff delivered the apology as half-meant as they are not native English speakers so it might come off as perfunctory. Secondly, we apologize if we allocated you a Grand Luxury Suite instead of the Azalea Balcony Suite as originally booked. We were fully booked that day and the room we reserved was out of order and we cannot give you the room, so we allocated you to our Grand Luxury Suite which is almost the same as the original booking but without the balcony. We did not give you a standard room as you have mentioned in your review. We offered a $5/per room/per night refund as it is the price difference of the room you have originally booked and the room we allocated for you. You have failed to mention in your review that, you did not accept the $5/per room/per night compensation and we would like to clarify that we have refunded you $20/per room/per night, so in total, we have refunded you USD$80.00 for 2 rooms for 2 nights. We would also like to apologize if the breakfast is not up to par to western standards and we will continue to diversify our offerings. We would also like to apologize on behalf of our staff if they seem uninterested, please note that except our front desk staff, the rest of our staff can barely communicate well in English as it is not their first language, and as you know Laos is a developing country and our staff are trying their best to be of service but they sometimes fall short of the expectations from our western guests. The hotel was close and walking distance to the riverside and night market. Decor was nice but seemed cleanliness of it was a bit lacking. My room window did not open up to the outside so it felt stuffy in an already small room. The breakfast selection was not tasty. The smoking area was right outside the hotel doors. It was a small sitting area with a tuk tuk driver constantly asking me where I wanted to go when I was clearly just out to smoke. The twin room only had a blanket for one of the beds. The staff said they would check if there were any available since laundry was being done. I received a fitted sheet 20 minutes later. I did not like that there was no option to shade the glass to the toilet or shower area especially when I was sharing the twin room with my father...so no shower for me. Glad I only stayed one night.

The location was good. Facilities were good. But Ms. Pouy and the team made our stay PERFECT! Anything we needed from towels to negotiating a tuk tuk, she was there. Can’t wait to return.

Great hotel for the price
Practcally everthing about this hotel is excellent. Staff extremely helpful, rooftop pool was good for a city centre hotel, great breakfast. Would certainly recommend and stay here again. A little too far from night market and main restaurant area if you don't like walking. We are happy to walk but you could always get a tuk tuk. The are other restaurants closer by.

Be aware of the safety of your cash
Reception staff very helpful, dining room and lobby are lovely. The rest of the areas could do with a bit of care and attention. Breakfast was great. My reason for the poor score is that 700 US dollars went missing. from our safe. We checked our money on the Tuesday evening It was all there and we saw the money envelope was there when we took everything out of the safe on Thursday morning when we checked out but we did not count the content. We checked our money on arrival at our hotel in Vang Vieng all that was in the money envelope was 200$ in 10 dollar notes, 45$ in 5 dollar notes and 23$ in 1 dollar notes. 700 $ in 20 $ notes had gone. Whilst travelling to Vang Vieng the money was never out of our possession so the only time the money could have been stolen was at the Azalea Parkview Hotel. We contacted the hotel they checked CCTV and said it was impossible that the money could have been taken from our safe they also intimated that we were fraudulently claiming it had been stolen, which made me feel quite intimidated. I made a report to the police in Luang Prabang but they cannot investigate as it is out of their district. I am sure the hotel will respond to my review but I note on Tripadvisor that someone else had a similar experience. We just want to make sure others take care of their money when staying at this hotel

Easy access to the city and sights. They have done a lot of work to make it seem fancier than it is, but it is clean and the staff are lovely and helpful. Pool area on the roof is basic but nice for a quick swim.
