8/10 Good
"A bit disappointing this time around. The food in the restaurant wasn’t to the usual standard, and the breakfast service was chaotic - we waited almost an hour for our food. The breakfast was OK when it arrived and the staff gave us free tea/coffee for the long wait, which was small consolation. Other things were disappointing - no dental kits for example. And the pancakes on the breakfast menu had no fruit, they were poor. We’ve been return customers for the last few years but that may have been our last visit."

What is a historic hotel like in Sutton?
Historic hotels give guests the opportunity to stay in a place that's been recognised with an official historic designation. Historic hotels throughout the world can take the form of palaces, castles, stately homes or even lodges, pubs or skyscrapers — any place of special interest. These types of hotels in Sutton often retain original elements like traditional architecture and period features in guestrooms or communal spaces.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
The two are similar. "Historic hotel" is more commonly used in the U.S., while you'll often hear "heritage hotel" in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to emphasise the physical building and architecture. A heritage hotel draws meaning mainly from the place's cultural value and how it inspired the surrounding community.
Do historic hotels in Sutton have modern facilities?
Yes, efforts are made to preserve historic facades and treasured traditions, while interiors have safety features and modern conveniences. Tourists who book a stay can expect the usual amenities from a contemporary hotel such as private rooms with updated bathroom facilities, heating and air conditioning, and free and fast Internet. Booking a historic hotel in Sutton doesn't mean you're picking a place that's uncomfortable for guests or simply rundown.
