"Beautifully presented hotel, rooftop bar and pool were a delight on a warm evening. In room breakfast was handy. Windows are not double glazed, so wth the trucks, emergency vehicles, buses, random yelling from the street and helicopters it was quite noisy. Staff were not as helpful, chatty or welcoming as they could be. Reception staff and door staff NEVER acknowledged guests, even when walking past them into the hotel lobby. The area is gritty at best, dodgy at worst. Don’t stay here if you like to wander around looking at things. The streets around are confronting, with homelessness & mental health issues everywhere to be seen. Great spot to go and see a concert or sports event nearby. Highly recommend the burritos at Tacos Mexico a short walk up the road. Beautiful building and I’m glad that the developers spent the time making it look retro again."
