"Beautiful location and wonderful hosts. The sound of the ocean water was very relaxing from our room. Had an amazing breakfast in their garden. Highly recommended. "
"Great location and interesting surroundings to get away from the hectic city for a bit. However, do not go "off-season" as almost all the activities you go there for (fine food, wine tasting) was unavailable. They should just close the hotel off season to avoid disappointing guests. The staff were unfailingly polite while not offering very much. All in all, there was a stingyness with this property and experience."
"The apartment looks nice and it is very spacious. There is a bedroom and a loft and a couch for sleeping. Murano is a great location for visiting venice in the tourist season as you get away from the tourist pressure in the city center and feel like you are part of the local community. With a vaporetto 7 day pass you get around anywhere easily. The appartement was clean except for lots of dog hair on the couch. "We liked pretty much everything about this hotel, with one minor exception: the elevators. We needed to take two elevators and some stairs to reach our suite. But it was fun in the end."
"Still good location even though you will need to take the vaporetto (boat bus) or people mover (tram) to get to venice centre. No restaurant around the area and decent mercato, so if you like having snacks or drinks. Please buy them at the city centre and take them in to your room. The hotel offers somes snack but very limited choices. "
"Hotel Abbazia was a gem—super conveniently located to public transportation (railway station and Piazzale Roma) and the Grand Canal but set back on a quiet side street. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. Room was great—comfortable bed, effective AC, reasonably priced."
