Perfect family stay in the lovely lodge…
Our stay at the Lodge was so lovely that we extended another night. The quality of furniture and decor is excellent. The kitchen was one of the best stocked we have stayed in when it came to utensils, it had everything you could think of to cook some lovely home family meals. The lodge was warm and cosy for our family of 4 inc our toddler and little dog, perfect for our relaxing stopover from Scotland back to London.

We had a wonderful time staying at the lodge. We definitely felt like we were in a 5 star stay from the lovely Egyptian cotton bed linen to the generous welcome pack ! All bedrooms have an ensuite and Molton Brown toiletries. Bathrobes and lovely white fluffy towels. SMART TVs in each room as well means you can watch your fav TV if you’re desperate to catch up on something while you are away. The kitchen is very well equipped if you are cooking on your break however just over the garden wall is the Mayfield Hotel . We decided to treat ourselves to the carvery which was fantastic value and hit the spot . There is also a soft play in the hotel so the kids can have fun whilst you are dining. Backgarden is small but completely enclosed so if you have a dog with you it’s completely safe to potter out there . We enjoyed our stay so much we fully plan to book again in the summer . Definite 5 stars from us.

5th time staying at Five Star Stays and our 4th in The Lodge. We're already booked in for next year. I can't recommend enough. Communication is enough and you're left alone while staying unless you need help and then the staff are always willing to sort any issues out.

Beautifully presented accommodation.
My family have stayed at this accommodation previously as a base for visit to Scarborough and north Yorks coast. It is superbly presented, with all facilities we could need for a relaxing few days away. Parking place was important to us as we had a guest with limited mobility and this was right outside of the home. We preferred the village location as opposed to being in Scarborough itself, very peaceful, even with a pub accessible from our back gate. The property was very clean and decorated to a high standard with extras like fans in the bedrooms. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company to others, and will hopefully, be back soon.

Absolutely beautiful cottage well maintained and nicely decorated. The owners had thought of everything you might need including kitchen items and the welcome pack containing tea, coffee, bread, milk, eggs, bacon, butter wine and crisps was such a lovely touch. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone.

Palladium Cottage
Excellent cottage, large bedrooms each with own modern bathrooms, fantastic decor to a very standard. Lovely welcome pack included, kitchen facilities were excellent everything included for your stay. Parking close to cottage, lovely location close to Scarborough Park and Ride. Throughly recommend.

It was a lovely cottage couple of issues wifi not good as we had 15 yr old with us & no hoover in cottage as i felt carpets needed to b hoovered but it wouldnt put me off coming bk

Highly reccomend
We stayed in the palledium cottage as it was the only cottage with a hot tub. The cottage was clean, however they was several cobwebs on the headboards and dust. Apart from this it was very clean all round. When reading what was included in the booking it states that dressing gowns are provided and all beds are kingsize!... However 2 of the beds were double and the other 2 were signle beds put together. We slept in the beige room upstairs and found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable, very hard and the pillows to soft! ( this is a personal preference ). The cottage was in an ideal location not to far from local attractions and the food at the copper horse was lovely. I would deffinatly reccomend this cottage and would love to return with my family, however the beds are the only downside that would stop us from returning.

We didn’t know what to expect. Booked quite late based on location & didn’t look into the accommodation much. When we arrived it was a very pleasant surprise how nice the cottage was inside & out. It Even had an Xmas tree decorated which was a nice touch. The associated pubs looked very nice & it was a shame we couldn’t visit them. The only disappointing thing was the communication. I messaged them in advance to try and sort an earlier check in so we could try get our daughter settled before evening plans & also enquired about a child cot but we received no reply. Overall though we would most likely stay here again if we visit the area.

Easy check in at the adjacent pub. Modern refurb. Clean and tidy, 3 bedrooms so if three of you go, reasonable price. Bit noisy from the next pub down the road but not all night so not a problem.

Good communication with the owners of the property. It is situated in a quiet cul de sac with parking for 2 cars. The property is in excellent decorative order with all the comforts of home. There are two pubs/hotels virtualy next to the cottage also a small shop and chippy. 2 major supermarkets 2-3 miles away if you wish to self cater.

We stayed in the lodge. Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated. Great facilities. Comfy beds, nice bathrooms with toiletries. Water pressure is very high, so watch the taps (bath fills quick though!!) Good location within walking distance to 2 pubs. Copper horse is very good. (Mayfield ok, service & clientele let it down a bit!) The only negative is the tumble dryer, it destroyed my swimming costume so I’d avoid it!

When I walked thru the door to the cottage I was blown away. The cottage was exemplary, clean, welcoming and attractive. If I had to find any fault, the duvet on the bed was too heavy and the stairs outside of the cottage just need a little more illumination. That’s all we could complain of, but they are not really complaints, just observations.

Lovely cottage in a small village, 2 pubs and a shop in close proximity. I’d recommend booking the copper horse restaurant before you get there as it gets booked up in advance. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed, board games were a nice touch too. Will definitely be booking to come back

Fabulous cottage, everthing you need is there, however, spotlessly clean however so noisy, the Mayfield pub had a live band on Friday night followed by drunk people kicking off so police came. Saturday night music till after midnight and continous shouting and screaming for ages after. If you like you sleep I'd give weekends a miss
