"July 2023 was hot, but we persevered and visit many wonderful places in the North of Italy. So when we arrived in Camaiore we were ready to take it a bit easier. The villa is lovely. It is spacious and the setup gives you the choice to stay in the house, garden or somewhere else. We also particularly liked the fact the kitchen had all the right gear to cook. Near the villa there is plenty to do and the manual in the house provided some great suggestions for shopping, dinning etc. Last but...

"It's a long drive up winding hills, but once you arrive in Sassi, you can forget about all your worries, sit back and relax. The main farmhouse and the cottage are both well-equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was a godsend on especially hot days, especially for the children, who spent hours playing Marco Polo and other water games well into the evening. Our host was extremely helpful and was a walking encyclopedia of information about the surrounding areas, too....

"We stayed at this villa for 2 weeks and it was in such an idyllic location. The view of the mountains was breath taking. We went in August and it was very hot so having the pool there was an absolute god send. The temperature was perfect and it was well maintained. We did 3 big trips to Lucca, Florence and Pisa. "Lovely clean spacious house with beautiful garden and pool, with views of mountains and town of Camaiore. Narrow roads through the village to get to the property - small car probably best! 20 minute drive to the beaches. Less than an hour to Pisa and Lucca. Great location."

"We rented all three houses for 12 people, which worked very well. The grounds and the area are typically Tuscan, very charming and beautiful. The propertymanager is very helpful and available. The poolarea is particularly nice and the teenagers spent all day there :-) Nearby you’ll find Lucca, winetasting, hiking and many other activities. Highly recommendable."

"We loved our experience at La Palazzo. We have had many vacation rentals over the years and this stood out as one of best. The house is in a beautiful, peaceful location. "We had a very nice stay and overall this is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. We had two adults and and two 15 year old girls for 5 nights. The home is very charming with adequate bedroom and bathroom space. The outside spaces are nice, especially the covered eating area. The pool was great for the girls and the kitchen was well appointed. New air conditioning units for all three bedrooms just take the edge off, but not really cold. "This villa is located halfway up the steps to the village of Corniglia. It overlooks a garden and has a water view. It is conveniently located to explore the other towns by train or walking. The kitchen is equipped with the basics and there are several small grocery stores in walking distance (up and down the stairs) to purchase local foods to self cater."

"The house was amazing- so comfortable for my family of seven. My adult children all had their own room and bathroom. The grounds and landscape are stunning with so much privacy. "It was a real unusual property, a rustic village house. There is a little known castle ruin a short walk up the hill. Loved the washing machine, fire, cat and the helpful owner. It is hard to find, park at the town crossroads and walk up and right. But the locals will point you to it."
