Smartr Madrid ChuecaMadrid Centro
7.6 out of 10, Good, (688 reviews)
"Very difficult to chat with the host, the place they gave us was not what they promised us or how it looked on the pictures. They gave our place to someone else, and sent us across the street. Sofa bed does not work, no AC on one of the rooms, if you come in the summer, you will not be able to sleep. Will not stay here again."

"Bedding wasn't clean on my arrival. To be fair they sorted it quickly once reported.
Bathroom and kitchen was clean. Annoying that the cleaner washes the sheets in the kitchen as I had to listen to a washing machine for 2 hours when I wanted to relax.
Area is dangerous at night. I was assaulted by a patron of the bar across the road. late at night when walking past."

20. Dobo Madrid Gran Vía
Dobo Madrid Gran VíaMadrid Centro
6.0 out of 10, (1 review)
"The apartment was a bit dirty and had maintenance items, like doors and wooden panels, behind the sofa in the living room, which was unappealing. There was also considerable damage to the shower doors, room doors, and the walls of the apartment. In my opinion, they should perform a general maintenance check before renting out the property. On the positive side, the location was in the heart of Madrid, with almost all tourist attractions within walking distance."

After some hiccups with communication on checking in the service was excellent being met at the property by a very helpful lady who was able to explain appliances and offered extra assistance. Location ideal for exploration Madrid and even able to seek luggage repair within walking distance! Hosts and others approached for help were very kind and helpful.
