"Loved the ambiance, the helpfulness of the staff and the pool area. Only downside was how busy the bar area was."

"The aesthetics of the hotel were very beautiful, stylish, and hip. The staff was nice, and the downstairs lobby bar had a fun atmosphere. Overall, the hotel itself was nice. My only issue was with the room view. I booked a king room with a city view and was under the impression that I would at least be able to see the street from my room. Instead, the view overlooked the backs of other hotels and buildings, including air conditioning units and service areas. I also didn’t think the minibar setup was necessary. The beverage fridge was stocked with bar items, which felt unnecessary, especially since there’s a grocery store and drugstore directly across the street in New Orleans. That space could have been better used for a microwave or an empty mini fridge for guests to store their own beverages and snacks. The upstairs bar and pool area were nice but very small. If you want a good spot by the pool, you definitely need to get there early. Despite those things, I still enjoyed the hotel and thought it had a great vibe overall."

"From the moment we checked in until we checked out two days later, this was an outstanding experience. The rooms were excellent, clean and well stocked, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the on-site bar and restaurant were quite good, and they made parking a breeze (via valet). Convenient to everything you’d want to do in New Orleans, the Mazarin is a great place to rest and refresh. We will definitely be staying there again; highly recommended!"

Omni Royal Orleans Hotel

2/10 Terrible

"Two issues. The pool - the reason we booked the Omni Royal - was closed until June. None of the email correspondence mentioned the closure. In fact, every email highlighted the pool. The second issue….there was a feces stain on the bedsheets. Not small either. Sadly I didn’t notice it until the morning so I slept on it. So either housekeeping didn’t change the sheets after a very messy guest, or they somehow missed an 8 inch long brown stain. The front desk and housekeeping apologized, but did not seem particularly surprised. For all this - breakfast was comped."
