If you are given room #27 refuse it!
The owner and daughter were very nice at check in. I did mention we had driven from Townsville and so worn out and ready for a nice rest, and that is why I wonder why we were put in the only room right next to A1 highway, with double windows that face that road. The road noise made it impossible to sleep. We did manage to get in a couple of hours rest as the traffic dwindled in the very early morning hours. Honestly, that room should not be rented out...never stay in room #27. I feel that the rest of the motel would be very presentable, clean, comfortable bed, a little outdated, but the price reflects that. We had requested a room with a kitchenette but would have forgone that if we had realised we would have to deal with the road noise. I am sure I would have more than happy with our stay otherwise. I just hope #28 was already occupied and not just left empty. It would have definitely been quieter.

We love the undercover parking right in front of the unit. Very convenient in pulling stuff from our car. Very clean unit too.

On arrival, i was greeted with a big smile and Susan was very friendly and wanted to help us in any way she could. The room, bathroom was very clean, tidy and the bed was comfortable. Laundry was on site.. $4 for both washing machine and dryer.. Highly recommended. P & S

The relatively new owners are welcoming and helpful, and keen to improve their motel. Our accommodation was spacious and comfortable. However we were disappointed that whilst the booking website included free foxtel in the list of amenities,we were told when we queried how to access it that it is no longer available.

Staff were extremely welcoming and obliging. The property itself was well looked after and very clean but tired and could benefit from a makeover. The pics show a tiled floor throughout but we stayed in an upstairs room and it was carpeted. Even though it was on the highway it was quiet, although the ancient air con made a rattle when the motor kicked in! Overall a good, basic motel for a one night stay over.

The Owner was great. Friendly. Helpful. Even though we had a late check in. Erin rang and advised where to park the Rig.. Then when we got there he actually came out to Greer us. Ot was past 9pm . Breakfast was Great. Well arramged. Great choices. The bed was comfy but a little Soft to what Im used to. Overall. Great place. Awesome Value for Money.

good clean basic accommodation close to varied eating options. One of the best motels for room equipment - microwave etc we have found. Receptionist not people friendly very efficient

Air conditioner was noisy as well as the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Otherwise it was a pleasant place to stay and the owners were very pleasant and obliging.
