"I’m glad I listened to most of the reviews for this place. We came for the sheep farm, but in the end this manor made the stay worth the scary drive from Hualien. From the beginning, they made us feel like special guests. The valet driver understood my hesitation to park my rental car in these small tight spaces and asked if he can take over and then he parked the car with so much ease. "Very nice stay in the suite with a delicious breakfast. Unfortunately the earthquake cut our stay short, but they were so accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. What a terrifying thing for the staff to navigate - they were wonderful. I fear the hotel had significant damage and hope they will be able to reopen. "

"I liked that the property was in a quiet yet nice location. The property is in desperate need of updating but I'm an easy guy so I'm ok with it. The one thing that I'm not ok with is the mattress. It is hard as a rock. Felt like I was sleeping on the floor. I had to ask the staff for extra blankets to put on top of mattress. Staff was very nice and accommodating."

"Nice hotel, you can tell hotel really took care of some of the details. If offers bath tub (with relaxing salt), steam bath (with levender smell therapy). However restaurant was not up to to the standards, breakfast was soso, dinner buffet ($1000ntd) was good at all. During dinner we saw some debris that was left at the plate area from breakfast, meaning they didn't do a thorough clean after breakfast? And no soft drinks for it's buffet which was rare as well. "

"Our room wasn’t heated. The only heating is via a heating pad that is under the bedsheet. We got unlucky and our neighbours at this hotel had a child’s birthday party. The soundproofing did not protect us and we had to stay up until the party was over. The owners were nice to us and tried to be helpful. However they told us that the scenic highway 7 was closed today. We changed our plans but still later that day found ourselves at the visitor center for highway 7 located near Daxi Mausoleum....
