"Ricardo was incredibly responsive and quick to answer all of our questions. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed. The kitchen was fully stocked and the thoughtful extra touches, combined with the incredible views, made it hard to leave.The kids absolutely loved feeding the alpacas and were thrilled by the chance to catch yabbies — it was such a fun and memorable experience for them.The recommended walk is a must. We spotted kangaroos, eagles, deer and even a fox along the way, which made it feel really special.This place truly is a hidden gem and we will definitely be back."

"A very well presented historical home, had everything that you could want from a second home. Lots of room for the whole family and pets. Look forward to returning with the whole family in the colder months to take advantage of all the spaces by fireside. "

"Orchard Cottage was a lovely stay- it was bright and airy. The cottage has two generous sized bedrooms and living area plus a large bathroom with 2 showers and spa. The grounds are amazing to walk around. And it is not too far from Castlemaine."

"The host was quick with replies. Decor was quirky and interesting but unfortunately the building itself was a bit shabby. When we arrived there were none of the basics you expect like shampoo, conditioner - no milk for a cup of tea.Found a tin of old -looking tbags and a few coffee pods.Some used butter in crushed covering in a covered dish left on the bench in 30 degree heat. Kitchen blinds falling apart and pretty grotty.Small bed and cupboard with others clothes in it and dryer with some bedding left in it. No blinds on back windows so pretty hard to sleep after early daylight. Television not connected - only there to see DVD's - a bit silly.Most disturbing of all is there are NO opening windows - ( french doors were locked!). Only the front door as entrance and exit which for safety reasons l don't even think would be legal!Back garden overgrown with weeds and long grass.Definitely below standard for a holiday rental."
