Lovely comfortable and clean room. Only stayed one night. Conveniently located for Heathrow Airport and bus to underground to the city centre. Basic facilities -tea, coffee and hair dryer. Great shower. The staff were really polite and helpful. Definitely recommended and would choose to stay here again. Very reasonable for London.

Great location just 2 bus stops from T5 with the bus stop next to the hotel (bus number 423). Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are ideal for an airport "layover" and are clean and comfortable. The hotel has a good bar, great breakfast and evening meals with viewing directly onto the airport runway with great closeup views of aircraft arrivals and departures. If there was one downside it would be the poor shower water pressure which was manageable but is low. I always stay at the Thistle...

We loved our stay at The Belgrave. The room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. It was walking distance to Victoria train station and many attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben etc. We would definitely stay there again

When is the most affordable time to visit Northolt?
The most affordable time to visit Northolt is generally during the off-peak seasons, specifically late autumn (November) and late winter (January and February), outside of school holidays and major public events. During these months, demand for accommodation and flights tends to be lower, leading to better deals.
For solo travellers, visiting Northolt during these quieter periods means you can often find more competitive rates on guesthouses and smaller hotels. Public transport, while always reasonably priced, might feel less crowded, enhancing the travel experience. You'll find it easier to explore local attractions like Northala Fields or the Grand Union Canal at a relaxed pace without the usual throngs.
Spring (March to May) and early autumn (September to October) can also offer good value. While slightly busier than the deep winter months, you'll benefit from more pleasant weather for exploring without the peak summer prices. These shoulder seasons provide a nice balance between affordability and enjoyable conditions for walking and outdoor activities.
What free activities should we do in Northolt?
Northolt offers several free activities, primarily centred around its green spaces and historical landmarks, making it an excellent destination for budget-conscious travellers.
For families, Northala Fields is a fantastic option. This expansive park features four artificial hills offering panoramic views of the surrounding area and even the London skyline on a clear day. Children will love exploring the various play areas, while the whole family can enjoy walking or cycling along the numerous paths. It's a superb spot for a picnic, too, saving money on dining out.
Solo travellers and couples might enjoy a stroll through Rectory Park, a pleasant green space with mature trees and open lawns, great for a quiet afternoon. The Grand Union Canal also runs through Northolt, providing lovely towpath walks.
