"Hotel Shattuck Plaza is perfectly located for a visit to UC Berkeley, less than a block away. I found everything about the hotel appealing, a nice mix of historic and modern. We had a fanaastic view from our room of the SF skyline and the golden gate bridge! The standout at the hotel was the staff. I especailly appreciate the young lady who checked us in, she made it so seemless and made sure the valet took care of our car, then greeted me by name throughout our stay. Looking forward to being a regular customer here when we come up to visit our daugther at college."

"The hotel seemed chaotic as I witnessed gambling and craps being played. There was also an abnormal amount of weed smoking throughout. Teenagers were running around playing door knock ditch. Overall, would not stay here again. Room also smelled stale and light was coming from all around the door."

"I love this place. The luggage trolleys make a TON of noise, 24/7 as they run the halls, and there was construction, without disclosure, so it was not amazing as usual, but it's still a first class experience."

"You have to fight off a few roaches but after that you'll be ok. Also a dolly parten movie in a making the best little H*o house and Texas you'll be able to see in person the working girls. If that's your thing choose this hotel "

"Pulling up I was discouraged by the outward appearance. Many people hanging around the area and an older looking parking lot. The hotel was fine, lobby and elevator were clean but nothing impressive. The room was clean and outside noise was not a disturbance, good space. Doubt I’d come back especially with kids. "
