We had a fantastic relaxing time, Paul & Craig are lovely host - We will definitely be back for another stay.

The rooms are modern and clean. The beds could be a bit more comfortable but the linen was fresh and clean.

Cabin was clean and had everything you would need plus extras. Kitchen well equipped, lounge and bed very comfortable. Nice to sit outside on the veranda. Only downside was the bathroom is very small and hard to use the sink to clean teeth plus one side of the bed is against a wall. But overall a great place to stay for a few days.

This property is clean that is what i care about the most.

Stayed in the villas which are very modern and close to the main guesthouse. Pretty much everything is supplied except for the food. They are well worth spending the extra money for accomodation. The staff are great to deal with and very helpful. The tours are run by staff that really know their stuff, informative and really interesting! With lots of stuff to do such as bird feeding, track walks and plenty of tours I would definitely want to stay there again.

It maintains it last century guesthouse ambience while offering everything from basic to very commodious accommodations. Activities are available, both free and for extra charges...surroundings are beautiful and rugged. Walks available from the simple to the experienced only levels.

Stunning luxury property, accommodation and fine dining. I had a stunning massage at the dayspa. Not much to do on the property but very short drive to many wonderful bush walks. We did the 5km Caves walk. It was spectacular.

We only stayed briefly for the night, but the room was spacious, clean, great facilities and lovely view over the river. Easy to cook or heat up a meal or easy access to food just out the front. Included continental breakfast was basic but adequate. The room had beds for up to 5 comfortably. Wou,d recommend a stay here if travelling to Murwullimbah.

A lovely warm welcome. The front desk lady greeted us with a lovely big smile. Gave us information on the area and was very proud of the local football club who had three senior teams in the grand final played the day before. The room was clean and had a great private outside area through your back door. Nice to relax there with a cool drink. More than adequate tea, coffee and sugar supplies. The motel is about 100m from the RSL club who served up hearty reasonable priced meals . Great...

Close to the beach (fabulous) and airport (great but noisy at times). Very friendly and helpful staff. It was convenient to have a mini bar, however, a few free treats would have been even better. Great stay, we will come back again.

Definitely lived up to its name of retreat- rooms were spacious and clean, very quiet first floor apartment. A visit to Spiced Den restaurant is a must!

Great spot easy to walk to everywhere

It was so unfortunate that two flights back to Sydney were cancelled on the same day. My friend and I were so lucky to find La Costa, one of the motels with a super high rating on Expedia, TripAdvisor and other hotel websites, and got the last room of it to save our lives! Greeted at check-in, fantastic service. Very clean, was perfect for a night stay as we were travelling. Bed was super comfortable.
