"When people love what they do or what they own, you can see it and feel it in the details. I think that is how I can explain why we had a great time at the Astra, we appreciated all the amount of effort people working at the Astra has put-in making our stay so pleasant. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable, we loved and used most of the facilities and we could feel that the owners really have done a good job to make the stay a great experience and not only "an accommodation". "Great view over the Summit slopes. Lovely renovated room. The meals were excellent. Almost all staff were very friendly, even the foreign staff who were trying hard with their English. Negatives...the stairs! We were on the 5th floor from the entrance, which was a big ask for 60+ year old guests, especially after skiing. We had help with our suitcases though, which was great. Very strong young men very ably sprinted up and down the stairs with them. The water pressure was just a dribble in the...

Club Wyndham Dinner Plain, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

10/10 Excellent

"The moment we arrived we found the staff to be friendly, courteous and very helpful. Our room was spotless and very cosy. The bed was very comfortable and linen had crisp white sheets. The furnishings in the room were very tasteful. Our room was located on the ground floor and it was very quiet. We liked the convenience of the back side entrance where we were able to unload and reload our belongings. Parking was free and located close to our room. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Just a slice of heaven. Super convenient to the main chairlift. Not hard to walk up to even though there’s quite a few stairs. It doesn’t take more than 5 minutes. The owners are the hosts who are just down to earth no bs lovely people. The guests seems to be the same, enjoying the unbelievable view and relaxing bar area. Breakfast is perfect. Quick simple and gets you on the hill ready to go. Highly recommend this location and accommodation!!"

AUTUMN LEAF COTTAGE 1: Harrietville

8/10 Good

"Great location at the bottom of Mount Hotham. Can walk to ski hire, pub and bakery. Beautiful surroundings. Wish there was better cooking facilities (no hob or oven) was a portable hot plate and electric frypan. Bright is a 20 minute drive for more restaurants and shops. It was a beautiful, comfortable stay. Nice beds and linen and the cottage had a lovely charm to it. Reverse cycle heater worked like a dream and warmed the place up quickly. Would recommend a stay here and would come back most definitely."

Wallace's-Chalet

8/10 Good

"Great property, well stocked with amenities, great location, close to everything in town, loved the smart tv, very warm and cosy, especially during snow season, only downside, home was infested with spiderwebs and spiders on ceilings, behind beds and furniture and even had one little guy crawl out from the sink as I was washing the dishes..."
