"People do say that property is dated however it is a "grand" hotel. The style is reminiscent of older hotels but that shouldn't bother you unless you're expecting state of the art facilites."

"Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Great hotel and brilliant amenities."

"Very nice spa"

"Great food and beautiful location"

"The onsens are beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly. Could use a more regular dusting but overall our stay was amazing. The food is fabulous! "

"The open-air private onsen in our room was the absolute best! The food was like artwork. The surrounding area was so beautiful. If you have any mobility issues, make sure you call for a pick-up from the bus stop, as it is an uphill hike to get to the ryokan. Also there are steep stairs inside."

"I would particularly recommend the breakfast and the bath! A great ryokan I definitely recommend!"

"Absolutely wonderful stay at this Ryokan. The staff were so friendly, kind and informative. They showed us around the facility and made sure we had everything we needed. They have the best breakfast and tea. I love the private bath options and the quaint library and Japanese garden. Highly recommend this gem of a place and hope to return again in the future."

"We loved staying here. Rooms were very traditionally Japanese with a beautiful aesthetic feel. Meals were excellent and the staff were incredibly nice. Would definitely stay here again!"

"The room is very clean, and plenty of space consider it's in Japan where most hotel room are small, the hot bath is very nice and clean. Service is excellent, breakfast was very good."
