The room was clean and the staff were extremely helpful with luggage forwarding. The hotel is located in a convenient area. As others have mentioned, the breakfast buffet does not have a huge range of options, but if you’re staying ~3 days I think it’s perfectly fine.

Good location, safe area, convenient to shops and restaurants. Hotel amenities are above expectations with slippers and night apparel provided as well as toiletries if you forgot anything. We opted for no breakfast for our pre-stay but our tour used the same hotel and included breakfast which has a good variety of breakfast offerings with hot and cold options.

Fantastic location that is so convenient for touring, dining, shopping all close by. Rooms were well sized and clean. The breakfast was great with lots of nice choices in self-service buffet. The hotel rooms could use some updating as they are a bit outdated (decor wise), and a tad worn but overall the location makes this a great choice. Would have appreciated a water station but the hotel gives water bottles and toiletries each day which was appreciated.

A great hotel close to the famous Pontocho alley. The bed and bedding were so comfortable and super clean just like all the room amenities. We love this hotel. The buffet breakfast and lunch were above average for the food quality and taste even though the selection was limited. We’ll stay here again next time we visit downtown Kyoto.
