"Every bit good as any Marriott, but locally owned and operated (all Canadian!). My favourite things about this lovely hotel were the staff, the excellent restaurant on the top floor (Vista Restaurant, with amazing views of the city and mountains) and the gorgeous statue of the original owner with his dog by the fountain in front!"

"Located in the heart of downtown makes easy access, walking distance or moderate uba rides to most places of interest. Building is clean, nicely cooling air conditioning, bathroom is superb and spacious with heated floor. Staff are courteous. I recommend."

"This place is a gem! The breakfast rotated every day during our four day stay and is more of a buffet. There is something for everyone and it is available until 10:30am plus plenty of seating available. There is a piggy bank for tips which they deserve! The staff are friendly and great. Can’t beat the location if you want to stay downtown near the harbour. Not a high end hotel but rooms are modern enough and there is signage that they are updating hotel. We were there to see family so not really time for pool and hot tub which they do not have if that’s what you are looking for. There are no negatives about this hotel. "

"Good breakfast, clean room. Suite was not really in keeping with expected vibe of hotel. Suspect renovations of suite might have been enhanced by use of interior designer. Hotel has great location. Staff at front desk were very helpful."
