Nice location, good colour palette and finishes. Staff were friendly.
However a lot of drawbacks.
While we were able to secure a car park, we would have appreciated being told earlier that carparking was not guaranteed and that there is very limited parking (this review would be worse if were unlucky enough to not get a car park in the building). Noise insulation is quite poor - rowdy neighbours and the front doors are heavy so slam shut very loudly. We were unable to get any restful sleep in during our stay, despite hanging the 'quiet' door knob notice. Timing of room service before and after our stay could be improved (our room was serviced before we had actually checked out, even though we had cleared the room of our belongings - we had packed to go to breakfast and were going to use the room toilet if we needed to). 'Kitchen' area wasn't clean - food scraps in the sink, spillage/stains/residue in freezer compartment, under the joinery of the overhead cupboard, and on the glasses inside the cupboard. Curtains didn't close properly to block out light (and were difficult to drag across). Bed was too soft. Room has a lot of good ambient lighting, but not enough task lighting, which is made worse by the dark colour scheme. Shower is also very dark. No full height mirror in hotel room is a bit inconvenient when getting ready. Toilet roll holder was in a very awkward position (almost as far back at the cistern). Layout of the building is not very good - gym and pool located in
