"We really enjoyed our stay. We were walking the SWCP and were glad to stop earlier on this leg. (Just dont take the road to the lighthouse and then climb the scree over the hill: steep and dangerous). The room was excellent. Comfortable. Delicious dinner down stairs, and lucky for us on our night, a live singer providing a musical background atmosphere. She was lovely, and just the thing to elevate the evening to next level."

Emma's hospitality was par excellence. Though the room a little small the guest house was lovely and homely. I stayed only 1 night but would like to stay longer. The little touches Emma added, the fantastic breakfast , the cleanliness, and situation made my stay memorable.

The North Cliff Hotel was one of those charming old traditional Hotels, that as a Hotel had been in operation for 100years. The Managers were lovely and helpful. Our room was up 3 floors, but they assisted with bags. Our room was small, but had great views. Great English brekky included, and we did have a simple dinner there the before. Honesty tab for wine, beers, drinks and snacks in the dining room. Check in is not until 3.30pm, and dinner orders must be in by 4pm. The railway to Lynmouth is...

An elegantly appointed fairly formal country house in a beautiful rural setting, not far from a tiny small village. The rooms are comfortable and the hosts provide a great breakfast.
Access to and from the property from the A roads was interesting to say the least. Single lane “roads” for the 2 miles either side of the property require a fair degree of both caution and concentration. Some parts will barely allow a car to pass. That said, it is worth the trip. Just do it slowly!
