"Staff, room, pool, all still excellent. I requested and was assigned my favorite room. Unfortunately, it seems the mattress, or topper, has been replaced and is now quite firm. It did not invite me to sink in and stay as it did before. Other small changes have been made to update the room: curtains, coffee maker, soap dispensers in bathroom, metal accents on walls, but these have made it a bit less quaint. Thankfully still had a full tub. Walk-in showers are, in my opinion, overrated. The breakfast was downgraded after COVID, understandable, and still adequate but do miss the previous hot options. Unfortunately the cost has really accelerated over the past few years. I know, times are tough, but if I return will have to give up the prized suite option for cost. Valet service was also very prompt and appreciated. Thank you again for an overall wonderful stay."

"My friend and I stayed at this hotel for one night on Thanksgiving long weekend. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown and it is walking distance to many stores, restaurants and entertainment. I highly recommend using the valet service because we just parked the car for one night and everything was taken care of. We also got a beautiful view of the city, and if you bring your own food it was so convenient to know that we were able to wash our plates in the sink, store our perishables in the fridge, and also heat up the food in the microwave. Lastly, the hotel staff were friendly and provided great customer service. Overall it was a great stay for us from Sunday to Monday."
