The George Hotel Easingwold

The George Hotel Easingwold

10/10 Excellent
"Small car park but free parking inthe square on the doorstep. Excellent breakfasts with generous portions. Booking advisable to eat in the restaurant as can be very busy. Very popular with locals. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained. The bedroom was occasionally noisy as it was above the pub. Staff all friendly and efficient. Good value and location, handy for Thirsk and York. Buses run from the square frequently."

"First time to Saltmoore, although visited in the past when it was Raithwaite Hall. Very much enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Beach House. Nice big room. We did not try the leisure facilities, as we were happy in the fresh ai,r walking along the beaches to Sandsend & Whitby. The weather was good, which helps too. We did eat in the Brasserie, which was excellent. It’s good to not pay over the odds for drinks too. A lovely place to visit and we will return."

"We enjoyed our 4 night stay and would return again in the future. We liked the location just outside York and with a Park & Ride just a few minutes away. The hotel is nice and staff helpful. The room we had was larger than most and had all the usual facilities (including a fridge), the decor was a little tired and could do with freshening up, also the bathroom needed updating. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it at the price we payed."

The Feathers Hotel, Helmsley, North Yorkshire

8/10 Good
"Good accommodation in the annex but be aware the stairs are steep and narrow to the upstairs rooms. There is very limited parking for 5 cars, so we had to park on the street during our 3 night stay. We ate dinner in the hotel once during our stay, which was average. We had breakfast once during our stay which was good but not outstanding. This hotel is part of a small chain, and having stayed in several of the other hotels in the chain I’d say this hotel is slightly below the quality I’ve experienced in the other properties."
