"We arrived at checkin time, the only ones… we booked high floor, parking and breakfast. As we checked in - our room was unavailable… so they found us a new room. After having to go back to reception to get our key to work in the elevator we managed to make our way to the replacement room. We opened the doors and walked in on the people who were staying in the replacement room… fortunately for all they weren’t in flagrante.. so we went back to reception. They offered us a lower room which I declined, eventually we got a medium corner room which was nice enough. As compensation for the complete mess around, including trying to charge me extra for parking, we were told we had some drink vouchers in our key pocket - it was one hours drink, for a couple… as compensation for the wrong room, an occupied room and a 30 minute check in! Needless to say this experience was less than ideal. It could easily have soured our whole trip but we are good people and managed to laugh about it. I feel for the people whose room we entered. I appreciate the late shift staff who were awesome. They also neglected to have us on the list for breakfast the next morning but that wasn’t a surprise… hotel - 3 stars, experience 0 stars. (Ps the pub - the park, was absolutely excellent 5 stars). Finally - no double glazing - got woken up by traffic and was super loud."

"This is not a private space. It is the upstairs of a house, the hosts use the downstairs. There is no lockable door between the two areas. The hosts stay behind a shut door, you walk up the stairs and the living room is at the landing of the stairs. It feels very open and not private. Each individual bedroom is lockable but this does not work if you have children as they may want to go to your room in the night. When we stayed, there was no top sheets, only half the pillows had pillow cases. There were no quilts/duvets on the beds, just blankets like you would generally find on a couch. The TV in the lounge room was not there. When we spoke to the host about this, he said that they would not come up the stairs, or use the downstairs area. We heard them using that area several times. He also said that the listing said there were blankets on the beds, and did not mention quilts. He did go and buy these overnight but we left after one night. Hopefully they are now on the beds. He said the TV was broken by the previous guest and would be fixed. We were told we should have read the description better. "

"Reception was luck warm, room not too clean, bathroom sink in metal feel like you are in a kitchen, bathroom floor was not too clean, bathroom really small without bath mat and very slippery. The hotel was noisy during the night and the bed was so soft that you get stuck into them . Not great for your back. The breakfast is very limited, dinner room was not clean with fries on the floor from the day before, no fresh bread, disgusting coffee, no yogurt and limited food option. I would not recommend it"
