In a residential neighborhood, very friendly atmosphere and pleasant area to walk around. Pahoa is a quiet town, has a nice new grocery market and a few fun places to go out to eat or drink. We saw tons of whales go by from the lanai and enjoyed short day trips to Hilo and Volcano."

"We had a tournament in Hilo so we decided to stay at another location close to Hilo since we’ve recently stayed in Hilo. The location was great! 2-3 minute mile ride to wonderful beach views. The house was big and spacious! Every room had its own private full bath and balcony! The amenities were great, from the game room to the snorkel gear to the bikes provided! There was a Sunday market no more than 8 minutes away that was great! All in all if I come back to the big island I’m staying here...

"We had a wonderful stay at The Jungalow! The property was perfectly located, close to the Volcano National Park and in a lovely neighborhood. The house itself was immaculate and very cozy. "From the first day we booked to the day that we left, we received almost immediate responses to every question we asked. As usual, there were a couple of arrival difficulties, but the host quickly took care of those. The house is beautiful. We were able to walk to the point and watch the waves and even some whales. They also made great suggestions about restaurants and supermarkets in the area."

"It was such a treat for our family of four to stay at this home. The house is absolutely lovely! Plenty of space for all of us, so many wonderful outdoor spaces to use. The view is stunning! We never got tired of it. Easy walk to a beach nearby, and the perfect hub for several day and half day trips. The owner is wonderful! So friendly, helpful and easy to communicate with. "Beautiful private spot. Easy to get to, but away from most traffic. It is apparent the hosts enjoy people and making them comfortable. Lovely paintings done by the hostess. Most of the grounds are gorgeous gardens with beautiful evening lights. This is the cleanest place we stayed on the entire island. Pride is taken in every way. Highly recommend"
