"This was a gorgeous hotel, with old world charm. The owner was lovely, the place was well cared for, with an attention to detail. I would definitely stay there again. It reminded me of the lovely Carrington Hotel in Katoomba."

8.0 out of 10, Very good, (1 review)
"The bush room was very comfortable and I'm sorry we weren't able to see it in the daylight as I think the views from the little outside balcony would have been brilliant. (arrived late and off before dawn for the Anzac service). A little care to be taken going down the steps to use the bathroom in the main house, (as I said it was dark) but otherwise all good and suited our needs. Thankyou to Grant for picking us up at the station as the train was very delayed."

The village has a relaxed, rural feel, with many properties offering views of the surrounding countryside and the possibility of spotting local wildlife.

For couples looking for a peaceful getaway, staying in the village centre provides easy access to everything while offering a quiet base. You can enjoy strolls to the local deli for fresh produce or visit the small art galleries. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer holidays, allowing for a more relaxed experience when visiting local vineyards or national parks.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the mild weather for leisurely walks through the countryside or enjoying al fresco dining at local restaurants without the oppressive heat of summer. The spring also brings beautiful blooming wildflowers to the region.
