"The hotel is definitely old with limited parking. First impressions aside, it is located on the bay in a quiet part of Hilo. The rooms too were old and had not been renovated in a while, but ours was spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful."

The peaceful setting is made even more special by the many friendly, well-behaved farm animals on the property. It’s also a fantastic venue for events, such as a wedding, with plenty of space for gatherings and comfortable accommodations for a few guests.The owners were outstanding—responsive, friendly, and a pleasure to communicate with throughout our stay.We arrived in August 2026, just a short week after the recent hurricane, and were impressed by how well the island was recovering and how warmly visitors were welcomed.We highly recommend this beautiful, peaceful, and unique Hawaii experience and would happily return."

They're as available as you need them to be, and when my mom and I were caught in a tropical storm and literally not even sure we'd make it to the inn, they were continuously available and responsible, without having electricity themselves. This is a truly beautiful, special place, and I hope to go back!"
