"Lovely, helpful staff. The room was great for one night but would have been a bit small and stuffy for any longer. Good location once you know what you are doing regarding bus/tram/train for getting around. We stayed for a concert on that side of Edinburgh and it worked well for that. Little kitchen area in the room ok for making a coffee and eating a snack but nothing more really."

"Perfect location. Royal mile just a short walk and plenty of places to eat across the road from the hotel. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent lots to choose from.."

"The experience was terrible because the bedding, pillow covers and blankets were not changed. I never had this experience at any of the hotels where we stayed before. We have noticed the eyelashes and some hair on the bed linen."

"We stay in a two bedroom apartment style accommodation. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. Pristine cleanliness throughout. The living rom with kitchen and dining area was excellent, espresso coffee maker, tea kettle, dishwasher, washer /dryer a little home making our stay comfortable and relaxing. Yea and coffee provided as were bottle waters. Wonderful shower too! A bit of a walk 1.5 miles from main Edinburgh train station which was not clear from advertisement of hotel. Plan to take a cab. Old town though was only .5 miles easy walk. Place very quiet and restaurants and small supermarket nearby."

"We had a premium king room. The room was about 3 feet bigger than the bed, no place to be other than in the bed. No in room coffee…I know but that’s how I function…but it was free downstairs. A digital heat/air system that had us baffled and cold. On the plus side it was in a quiet area, two blocks off Princess Street and 15 minutes walking from Dean Village. "

"Great location and a really nice welcome from staff. However, very slow service at the bar when there was only a few people in dining area. The bed was extremely hard and the pillows were flat so we slept poorly. We were in a room facing another building so no view and next to the main AC generator so the noise was loud and constant. Other than this, the breakfast was really good with a wide selection but I don’t think we will return."

"The location was great and the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The room was nice. My only concern was the bathroom. The toilet didn’t flush properly and the floor would remain wet after showering for a very long time (no lip on the shower floor, I assume for handicapped use)."
