"Everything was quite wonderful - exceeded our expectations. The only glitch was with the taxi we had requested for 3:30 am. I even followed up a couple days beforehand to confirm and rec'd an email confirmation yet come that morning there was no record of the reservation. Fortunately the gentleman on duty was able to get us in a taxi that was coming for another guest (who was amenable to our joining them) so we made our flight. The night manager was extremely helpful and personable."

"Overall a disappointing experience. Only nice thing was the convenient location. When we arrived with 3 heavy bags, the lift to carry the bags up was broken. So we were forced to carry them up the stairs. We found that the sheets we slept on gave us itchy skin and receptionist told us the sheets are only replaced once every 4 days."

"Property is located at the bottom of castle hill. Very good location but a lot of steps up to get to the Royal Mile where the main attractions are located. Note that the hotel does not have AC in the rooms. However, they provide a fan that does help. My guess is that normally this is not a problem, however, during our visit, the UK was experiencing a heat wave! Enjoyed the pool tremendously! All in all, very satisfied with our stay 😀"

"Lovely room and very friendly staff. Bar was completely lacking in atmosphere with the only music from an Alexa on the bar?! Having taken a pre-auth for £0.01 (odd) I then had a demand to visit reception to pay my £111 tab the night before checkout. Not very impressive."
