Kia ora, Thank you for your stay. You have now officially stayed on the steepest street in the world! I am very happy you enjoyed your stay, however, I am sad you weren't able to heat the room?? You must be used to tropical conditions! :P We have an oil heater in every room, the rooms are fully insulated too, therefore each room gets to very warm temperatures. This is the first I have heard of a guest struggling with heat. You would have found extra blankets in the closet if you are still cold. Yes the washer and dryer are for staff only. There is tea and coffee available for guests. Thanks again for your input and please do come again! The rules are typical, no smoking, no parties etc. The view from your room is spectacular. Perhaps if you looked again but with a fresh set of eyes which are not tainted with negativity I am sure you will agree that the views from all rooms are second to none. We have been attending to the outside space with repairs and maintenance therefore you will find at times how you described the outside space as "untidy" as its being used as a work space. Kia ora Heidi, Firstly, thank you for your stay. You can now tell your family and friends that you have officially stayed on the steepest street in the world! I am sorry you wanted to talk to me in person I did not know that. All you had to do was tell me. Usually guests prefer private check-ins with little interaction from us. We have on-street parking and we have a loading zone on-site. I have the rooms professionally cleaned after every stay. We are also strictly no smoking on-site. I leave the windows open after every stay for fresh air to liven up the room. Perhaps there was somebody smoking outside on the road and the smoke wafted in while the windows were open? Our policy is strictly non-refundable unless for obvious reasons. That is why our prices are so cheap. I will be impressed if you can find the quality of what we provide at the price which we give it out at. I also challenge anyone to match our prices. I am sure you will not be able to find anything anywhere else in town even close. Kia ora Heidi, Firstly, thank you for your stay. You can now tell your family and friends that you have officially stayed on the steepest street in the world! Yes as we are situated half-way up the steepest street in the world we have only a loading zone on-site. However, we do have plenty of on-street parking very close to the property. It is our busy season now so you probably had to park a bit further away than usual. You can lock the door to your room from within. We are not a hotel we are a BnB therefore you just have a key to the main doors. There are other guests on-site and sometimes with children. We are a family operation therefore we tolerate no parties and no smoking or alchohol on-site. Also we have no shoes in the house so to keep it clean. Wishing you all the best in your journeys! You will not be able to find anywhere in Dunedin that provides the quality of housing that we provide at lower than backpacker prices. Yes we are not a hotel, we are a BnB, a small 4 bedroom house. It is a small retreat. Had you booked the rest of the home you will have seen the rest of the accommodation and would have then probably felt more like a retreat instead of just 1 bedroom. As we are situated halfway up the steepest residential street in the world, we have on-site only a loading zone. However, there is plenty of on-street parking. Kia ora, Thank you for your feedback. We do cleaning and tidying up regularly so perhaps what you saw around the section was just tools and other maintenance equipment. I strive to be as cooperative and supportive as possible at all time. Otherwise I would not bother providing this service. I did not answer my phone because I would have been busy. If you had texted I would have replied ASAP. Yes we have a loading zone on-site but if you want over night parking you must do it on the street outside 4 houses down. It is free. You were provided instructions on how to locate and open the lock-box. You only hired a room not the full property therefore there are others also on-site. I wish you the best in your journeys. Kia ora Ann, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. Since the house is a BnB we sometimes have guests who are children staying too. Had you booked the upstairs flat you could have enjoyed a kitchen to do cooking there. However, you only had booked a studio room which only provides a comprehensive kitchenette. Yes guests must not leave their rubbish behind from their travels. We have rearranged the lobby a bit but besides that the pictures are mostly identical to the premises. Wishing you the best!

Kia ora, Thank you for your feedback. Yes you are right we are not a hotel. We are a bed and breakfast. I made sure the toilet was thoroughly cleaned by cleaners the next day. I have checked the basin it seems to run fine perhaps it was iffy on the day of your booking. Guests are not allowed to leave their rubbish behind according to fair use. Fair use means you can leave your everyday rubbish, just not your rubbish from your car etc. I hope you had a good stay nonetheless and remember, you can now tell your friends and family you have stayed on the steepest street in the world!

Kia ora Vannessa, I hope you emjoyed your stay. As you know, accomodation providers from time to time become delayed, just like flights at the airport. Although you may not think that is acceptable, it is unfortunately the sad reality of the industry. I will make sure to look for any ripped sheets and discontinue their use. The room is cleaned after every use. It is vacuumed regularly too I will ask the cleaners to give it a good lux next time round. The house door can be lock from the outside. Hi Nikitas, I am very sorry to learn that you felt so bad about your stay. I had sent instructions automatically for you to check in but it was the old version and for that I am sorry. Luckily I was there when you check-in to relieve you of your anxiety. Yes the patio did have a small pile of boxes which was only there temporarily and has been now all put away. The lounge lobby area is in a process of becoming a visitors centre so is in a state of change as I advised you when you arrived. The fridge is clean I just checked it and rewiped it down just to be extra clean. The bed sheets are always changed everytime after every stay and are always cleaned and dried thoroughly. I am sorry you found crumbs in your room I will give it an extra good vacuum clean. I am sorry you were so exhausted from your long drive from Christchurch and I can relate how terrible everything must be when we are so tired. I do wish you the best in your journeys. Manager Ash
