"The ocean views and private beach experience here was unparalleled, like next level. We did have some issues with "yurt living" that simply did not align with the cost for us, as the toilet burped up at us and backed up into our suite on our first morning. While it was responded to promptly as a clog, we ended up having to remove the sewage using a towel as the owners had a miscommunication. We were made to feel like we should be more understanding of their personal situation and were...

Known as the 'City of Totems,' Duncan showcases First Nations heritage through dozens of carved poles throughout its walkable city centre. Explore the Cowichan Valley Wine Country nearby or visit the BC Forest Discovery Centre to ride a vintage steam train through forest exhibits.
A beautiful building in a quiet street. A pleasant 10 minute walk to city centre. Helpful and friendly staff. An excellent breakfast and thoughtful touches like the afternoon tasty treats.

The mineral pools were wonderful and being open until 11.00 pm were an option after an evening out.
The food as well-presented but somewhat over-seasoned to my taste.

We enjoyed our stay at Brentwood in terms of the accommodation. The restaurant was closed and ‘The Pub’ was average at best. Our tiramisu was fridge freezer cold and had hidden parchment paper underneath.. we were not offered a refund and it put a sour taste on our eating experience.
The location of the resort is great with plenty of parking and we walked to Butchart gardens.

Very clean hotel. Room was huge with a great view. Staff were very friendly and attentive and consistently provided plenty of clean towels. Shower pressure was fantastic. Grocery store and casual/take out dining within walking distance of hotel. Enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful spot right on the water I had asked for a quiet room and it was perfect.
We arrived with very heavy bags and Iain was so cheerful with helping us get to the Windsor Suite on the 3rd floor. And the breakfast bought to our room each morning was a blessing -as my husband wasn’t well and we didn’t want to possibly spread germs in the dining room.
Five stars everyone would love to visit again in summertime

What a wonderful hotel with old world charm in a quiet neighbourhood and off street parking. Great location within easy walking distance to the town centre and a beautiful park nearby. The restaurant food was fantastic and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Best of all, the price per room was great value for money, being much cheaper than other hotels. 100% recommend staying here
