Nice hotel and walkable to shopping kingways retail park.Room is basic, but kettle with tea and coffee in the room.Room price is reasonable.

We have stayed here in the past. This time we really noticed a decline in the fabric of the room and corridors. The floors creak loudly, sink tap moved around every time it was turned on, cracks in wall covering around bath taps ( dirt can get into cracks), plaster deposits from wall on carpet in corridor, tired old carpet. Positive: Staff are wonderful; friendly and professional.

This was ideal for an over night stay, with free parking, close to Derby Royal Hospital for us to visit a relative, which was only a 10 min walk away, this saved on parking fee's and queuing at the Hospital. The pub was excellent for food with a nice atmosphere. The carvery was delicious! We had the breakfast too, which was good. We would stay again, the beds were comfy and clean but it really does needs modernising and updating.

Over night stay on route to the Dales
Easy check in clean and excellent value. Comfy bed and plenty of hot water. Good food and value carvery. Near retail park and easy parking Great value £45 a night.

Stayed overnight, room was clean and tidy and smelt fresh. Pub is very big and had a disco on....service at the bar was quick and no queues even though it was quite busy. Would definately stay again. Breakfast was lovely and good value for money. Freshly cooked and was really hot.

The room was nice and clean, but was a bit dated. But still pleasant enough. The bathroom was clean but there was rust around the fixtures and the button to divert water from the shower to the bath was broken and just balanced on the tap. Slept well, but was woken in the morning to the smell of cigarette smoke, which was very strong in the bathroom oddly, wondered if the room below was smoking and it came up through the extractor fan somehow. No windows were open.

It would help if you knew before hand about check in at the pub. Walking back and forward wastes time and in the dark and rain with all your stuff is a bit of a hassle. Room was adequate, cold til i turned heater on full for a few hours. Previous occupant had clearly punched the bathroom door causing damage which doesnt look good

The accommodation is close to the hospital. I was able to leave my car in the hotel car park and walk to attend my appointment and not incur the extortionate car parking charges. Spacious room,clean.comfortable bed and a hot shower. Good car parking facilities and very quiet .

Lovey people and bed comfy but the bathroom needs upgrading and the communal areas just smell bad. Bathroom… chipped sink, broken wall panel, heated towel rail didn’t work and old fittings. Communal spaces… bad food smells from communal kitchen and reception area smelt bad.

Great value stay for Derby
Rooms were ample, and there was plenty of drinks. Place was very clean. Space in the car park at all times. We had evening meal and it was good value and tasty. Handy for A38 etc. Perfect for where we needed to be.

Nice and simple
Room smelt lovely when walking in. Fan provided. Very clean. Tea/coffee and biscuits provided. Only slight issue was that the bed was too soft for my liking but obviously thats personal preference. Check-in was easy Food at the pub was spot on

All staff are great , food beer great , unfortunately I stopped during a heat wave and the upstairs rooms are horribley hot , fan never helped, have to check out last night and stopped somewhere else , needs updating , apart from that 👍
