Motel 6 in Costa Mesa from AU$96

"Found pills on the floor, got moved to a new room. New room had mold behind the mirrors and bed frame. The towels smelled like they’ve been sitting in a musty room for a long time. It’s a very cute hotel in photos but maybe it was just my experience that was awful. "

"Everything was great, room was clean, staff is nice, just a little hard to find parking if you're coming in late. Great walking distance to Toy Story parking lot shuttle or even to Disneyland if you want to walk all the way. This was our second time staying here and will definitely stay again."

"There were 3 people standing at front desk- only one with a customer. I stood in line next to be helped however not one person greeted me even after standing there over 5 minutes waiting to be checked in. The other two were busy in their computers - but not with guests, a simple hello- be right with you- would have gone a long way. The next morning the same experience- not friendly- offered one guest a treat from the counter but not me. Just odd- would prefer not to come back to this property although the property itself was lovely. "

"The check in was easy and the staff were lovely. They have complementary coffee every morning. Only thing is we were on the ground floor and we were woken up every morning by the room above us walking around as the ceilings were very thin. Great for access to the parks!"

"A great hotel for a big island stay. Rooms we're clean and the staff was great about house keeping etc. The veiw was absolutely amazing (I guess you'd need a ocean side room). Luau's are offered, and are totally worth the price. There's two pool areas, one is a standard pool with ocean side views (and drinks!). The other is more of a ocean tide pool (lots of fish and critters!). One of the best vacations I've had and this place made it all the better. "

"Clean room but poorest service. Long service wait. You paying thousands yet can’t even get good service. Husband needed golf cart to get to room, told us it wasn’t too far lool. Yeah…. Well think about that next booking "

"This is the first time weve stayed at this hotel. Weve stayed at many other hotels near disneyland and this is one of the best. Clean rooms, plenty of food options near by, and you cant beat the walk. Took about 10 minutes from our room to security. The walls are a little thin so you can hear your neighbors but its nothing crazy The only thing i would change is wall mounted bottles in the shower. The tiny bottles of soap need to go. We definitely will be back!"
