"The hotel was in a peaceful location of Kyoto very close to the Philosophers path and surrounding temples. The roof terrace and complimentary happy hour drinks was a wonderful edition at the end of long day of sight seeing to soak up the views and relax. The breakfast was excellent - a perfect balance of fresh vegetables, baked bread and fruit and yogurt. And the staff were so helpful with local restaurant recommendations. "Everything about this place is amazing. Excellent location (chaotic the moment you step outside the door, but incredibly convenient), capsule was so cool and extremely comfortable (enough room for bags, bed is bigger than usual, and you can even make bed into a couch to chill), bathrooms super clean and they have enough showers and bathrooms for each floor. This place has mastered the hostel socialization environment. As a solo traveler, I made a bunch of friends here to go out to dinner with. They offer a happy hour in the evening with free beer for guests so it’s really easy to meet people and the common area is very comfortable and well designed."

The public onsen was lovely too - a real bonus plus an excellent location. The rooms were small but not noisy and had everything you needed right in the heart of Kyoto."
