"Visited May, 2026. This property is well maintained, the hotel grounds is clean, likewise, my room was clean with good amenities, I stayed in building C and had a partial sea view. The pools are well maintained and kids friendly. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Easy access to public transport and convenience stores are a couple minutes walk away. The food and drink were ample, the restaurant staff was very attentive and there was a wide variety of food, the taste was in the better side, I liked Fasano restaurant, the Italian restaurant was okay, but for me the Italian food had a little too much pepper, it was Italian with a Mexican twist, the hotel is on the beach, but the sargassum seaweed hinders the beach experience, overall I will stay here again, its good value for money and very kids friendly, its a good family spot"

"The staff were AMAZING!! Everything about our stay was awesome, the room, the pools, the beach!! A lot of resorts have okay food, but the food here was SO good!! All in all an amazing stay, will definitely be booking Sunscape for our next Cancun visit :)"

"las habitaciones ya se ven muy descuidadas, con falta de mantenimiento, pero están limpias. el problema es que se escucha todo, literalmente si están viendo la televisión en el cuarto de a lado se escucha en tu habitación, así que no puedes descansar en las noches por todo el ruido de afuera. La comida es decente, es una buena relación calidad-precio. No es un hotel caro, así que no esperes demasiado"

"Overall, my experience at Riu Palace Las Americas was good, but it really depends on what kind of trip you’re looking for. This hotel has a much more laid-back atmosphere, making it ideal for older travelers and couples who want to relax. If you’re expecting a lively, party-style resort, this is definitely not it. That said, there were a few issues that stood out. When I arrived, my patio furniture was oddly placed inside the room instead of out on the patio, which was inconvenient. The shower also wasn’t in the best condition—there was a noticeable pile of dirt in the corner, which was disappointing. Additionally, the lighting throughout the room could be improved, as it felt dim and not very inviting. One of the biggest drawbacks was the air conditioning—it doesn’t go lower than 73°, and that limit seems to apply across the entire hotel, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times. In summary, while the resort has a calm and pleasant vibe, there are some maintenance and comfort issues that could be addressed to improve the overall experience."

"We booked two rooms, each with two double beds but one of the rooms we got had only a king size bed. Instead of finding us another room with two double beds, we had to get another single bed rolled in. One of the rooms constantly smelled like mold. As an all-inclusive, the hotel is not a great option for anyone planning on doing lots of early morning excursions as no real food options were available before 7:00 am. Yes, you can pick up a ready made sandwich, some unhealthy danish/muffin options, fruit and a drink from the 24 hour buffet, but these options are not great, especially for vegetarians and if you are concerned about the safety of uncooked fruits and vegetables. Also, the quality of drinks and food were just average, with sugary syrups used instead of juice in the fancy drinks and grissly/fatty meats. The pools and setting were terrific of course but it would be nice if someone actually monitored the hallways to keep people quiet during sleep hours. Every night we could hear the voices of excited party folks reverberating around the concrete hallways, had drunken fools knock on the 'wrong' door in the middle of the night, or had someone pull the fire alarm. This did not make the hotel a restful place. I thought by picking a hotel that included families that it wouldn't be such a party hotel but that was not the case."
